Rodent liver cells
Core personnel prepare a variety of primary liver cells (hepacotyes, sinusoidal endothelial cells, Kupffer cells, biliary cells, stellate cells) from rats and mice using in situ collagenase perfusion. Cell suspensions are purified by several methods: clients have the option of choosing the method that suits their experimental needs (e.g. Percoll gradient, centrifugal elutriation, MACS, FACS/sorting). Clients are encouraged to consult with core personnel for optimal service.
Primary liver cells are provided as cell suspensions or as freshly seeded cultures on collagen-coated plates in serum-containing medium. Custom culture conditions can be provided upon request.
