Biostatistics support team
The Patient-Facing Research Core offers biostatistical consultation and analysis by a team of experts within the UCSF Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics. The group is headed by Professor Chiung-Yu Huang, assisted by Amy Shui. Professor Huang will review all new requests for core service by Liver Center members and make assignments to team members as appropriate.
How to request biostatistics services
Liver Center members in need of biostatistical support should complete the intake form accessible via this link. Please note the Liver Center is working together with the Department of Surgery to provide statistical support - so do not be confused by the appearance of the form. It is fully applicable to Liver Center members.
Allow appropriate lead time
Requests for biostatstical support must be submitted well in advance of deadlines: at least 6 weeks before an abstract deadline or scientific meeting, and at least 8 weeks before a deadline for a grant submission. The statisticians will determine whether the desired work can be completed in the anticipated time frame.
