Single Cell Genomics
The Liver Gene Analysis Core offers two different platforms for single cell genomics studies: microwell-based SeqWell for single cell RNA sequencing, and droplet-based 10X Genomics platform for both single cell and single nuclei genomics capture. Both platforms are suitable for basic and clinical studies with small samples.
The Liver Gene Analysis Core works with the Liver Cell Isolation, Analysis and Immunology Core (LCIAI) to generate single cell suspensions from liver or other relevant tissues. Liver Gene Analysis Core personnel perform single cell capture and downstream library preparation, including quality control checks using Agilent 4200 Tapestation. Investigators receive single cell/nuclei libraries that are ready for sequencing. While the Liver Gene Analysis Core does not directly provide sequencing services, core personnel can help coordinate sequencing at a UCSF or external sequencing core of the user’s choice.
